Today’s post continues an ongoing series on Polarity User Tips. Data tells a story, Polarity helps you see it with Augmented Reality overlaying contextual information as you work, giving you the right data at the right time to make informed decisions and take action with speed (no glasses or goggles required). This guide explains how you can get started with your Polarity account to see the story in your data.

Install the Polarity Client

Before your get started with Polarity, you will need to ensure that you have the Polarity client installed on your desktop. Polarity currently supports Windows, macOS and Linux desktop computers. You will receive download links after you sign up for a free trial on our website and in your provided email inbox as well.

Connecting to Polarity

Once the Polarity client has been installed you will be prompted to connect to Polarity by inputting your credentials needed to log in.

Make sure you’re connected

If you already have Polarity installed and have connected before, the information you needed is available instantly when you mouse-over Polarity’s interactive highlights.

You’ll know you’re equipped with Augmented Reality for your Data when you see either of the “connected” icons (1,2).

Learn the ropes

When you first open Polarity, you will walk through a 6 step tutorial that will teach you how to get the most out of the tool.

If you are on macOS, ensure that you have accepted Polarity under the system preferences.

Turn on your data

Simply subscribe to the information sources you need.

Then, toggle-on Polarity’s Highlight Mode, enabling AR for your data.
